Chhena Kheer

Method

Take 1 litre cow's milk in a pan and bring to a boil.

Add ½ cup sugar. Stir until sugar melts.

Add saffron milk (7-8 saffron strands soaked in ¼ cup milk for 30 minutes). Mix well.

Take 200g fresh paneer. Grate one part and chop the other into small pieces.

Add all paneer (grated and chopped) to the boiling milk.

Boil on low flame for 5-6 minutes until kheer thickens slightly.

Add ½ tsp cardamom powder and 2 tbsp chopped almonds and pistachios. Mix well.

Place Tulsi leaves and offer to Lord Gauri Nitai.
