Suji Halwa

Method

    Heat ½ cup ghee in a pan.

    Add 1 cup semolina. Roast on low flame, stirring continuously, until golden brown.

    Meanwhile, heat 3 cups water. Add 1¼ cup sugar. Dissolve sugar on low flame.

    Add ½ tsp cardamom powder and 1 tsp kewra water. Mix. Keep aside.

    When semolina is partially roasted, add cashews, pistachios, and desiccated coconut. Roast until golden.

    Slowly add the hot sugar water to the roasted semolina. Add gradually, mixing well.

    Cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes, stirring continuously, until all water is absorbed.

    Garnish with chopped pistachios.

    Place Tulsi leaves and offer to Lord Laddu Gopal.
