Jain Chole Bhature

The iconic Punjabi dish made 100% NONG — fluffy bhature with spicy chole that'll make you forget you're missing onion and garlic.

💡 High protein, high fibre — a complete meal.

🛒 Ingredients

·2 cups chickpeas (soaked overnight)
·2 tbsp Everest Jain Chole Masala
·1 tsp cumin seeds
·½ tsp asafoetida (hing)
·2 tomatoes chopped
·1 tsp ginger grated
·1 tsp amchur (dry mango powder)
·Salt to taste
·For Bhature: 2 cups maida, ½ cup curd, ½ tsp baking soda, oil for frying

👨‍🍳 Method

Pressure cook soaked chickpeas with salt for 4-5 whistles until soft.

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a kadhai. Add cumin seeds and hing — let them splutter.

Add grated ginger, cook 30 seconds. Then add chopped tomatoes.

Cook tomatoes until oil separates, about 8-10 minutes.

Add Everest Jain Chole Masala, mix well, cook 2 minutes.

Add cooked chickpeas + 1 cup water. Simmer 10 mins. Add amchur.

For bhature: knead maida with curd, baking soda, salt, water into soft dough. Rest 30 min.

Roll bhature, deep fry until puffed and golden. Serve hot with chole.
